 LETTER TO MOMMA

Did you know?!

How devastated I've been?!

How I couldn't handle teenagehood?

How bereft I've been?                                                              

Did you know?                                                                          

Did you also know?!

I was filled with hatred

because I lacked a companion?

You saw me question you each day.

Asking for a reincarnation

just so I could live again.

It's been twelve years now

yet I blame it all on you.

I wish I had the guts to curse

yet my mourning bares my faults fresh.

Yes mother!!!

Had you stayed

I wouldn't have gone through the abuse.

I wouldn't have endeared sour times

for that I beared grudges.

In my veins 

flowed agony and anguish.

I cried each day

never been easy on my tears

yet still I found peace not.

Now dear mother!

I wanna free you.

I found a place yes!

In my agonized heart: forgive you.

And in my clouded mind: forget you.

I breathe an aura of forgiveness 

finally hoping to embrace renascence.
