White Lies
Beautiful sets of teeth
lined up like gazelles at the river bank.
Minty smelling white dents but what lies
underneath: thirsty herds of wildebeest.
Tongues stroking ears; nibbling; sucking;
chewing like grass.
Those hungry white pretty canines, tear
to the bones; it breaks them like glass, easily.
That's why colours deceive.
When you think you have a golden spoon, thorns
etch it to brass.
Wrapped up in angelic wings lies
a demonic visage.
