ZIMLIVESMATTER
When an enemy digs a grave, God gives you an emergency exit... Really???
Not now, we are not going anywhere, there is no place like home
We are being neglected, morbid curiosity
Silenced by their violent voice
Left alone to recover like an out patient
It's time to stand tall against the rain
Even our emblematic bird is crying from the pain
The government left huge stain
We were afraid to walk the walk, talk the talk
Imagine someone telling you to be quiet, deaf and blind
While they do the crime, and live scot-free
Trying to divide us, with ballot boxes
Our heart burn, so many dreams wasted
Gassed before we get masked, crushed with their fist ball
We are all citizens and aliens of this country
When mob and soldiers meet, the story and argument runs as follows
Let us prepare to sworn someone in
And face the National Army with our bare palms
You can only smell the dusk when you have hope to see the dawn
It's not too late to default the government and start again
And salute the fallen soldiers of August 1st
And throw away the traumatized minds
This can be our first recovery and revival
Viva the land that raised us, we are proud of who we are
Let's join hands for a better Zimbabwe
STAND UP, ZIM LIVES MATTER!!!
